Our little one is crazy today...lol

Hi everyone. It has been a few days. Today Meigan and I went to see her daddy for lunch. What a fuss everyone made over her. She is the bell of the ball when we visit daddy's work. She was yelling and dancing happily for anyone who would stop to say hi to her. She even walked away with the cleaning staff. Those ladies are so nice, one of them went skipping down the hall while Meigan tried to do the same while they held hands. It was so funny to see. If I let miss Meigan, I think she would have stayed all day in work. Later, when daddy came home, she was a total nut running and playing in the house. At least she sat to eat,but was up and yelling right after she finished eating. I guess over stimulation will do that to a little one. My biggest challenge was bed time, M didn't want to go to bed so mommy had a slight stress meltdown. M finally fell asleep at 10:50 and here I am still awake. Yikes, I hate to see this issue continue when I start back to work next week, my students won't have any peace in my room. This past Sunday we went to visit friends of ours. A great time was had by all, except for dad who was doing electrical work outside of J and B's house...lol Anyway, M had a real good time playing and exploring with S,E and young B.This weekend we are taking our little miss to the P.A. Renaissance Faire. It's the kids weekend there.

Well it has been awhile.
We were on vacation in the poconos this past week so that is why there were new posts. We are all doing fine and Meigan is still improving with her eating. We were actually able to go out to dinner one night and that little lady of mine was the best! She sat in a highchair and played and ate the whole time. We discovered she likes fried calimari...lol . Nana and g-pop are going to watch her today while I go to the doctors. Well I smell something brewing in a diaper so I better go for now.

Well Yesterday I took Meigan to see her god-mom and her kids. We spent the whole day together playing and talking. When lunch time came around I became the proudest mom in the world. Meigan sat in her chair and actually ate everything that was given to her. She is finally chewing her food!!!!! She had 1 1/2 chicken nuggets and some mac & cheese. For dinner when we got home I gave her beef lomain and she ate all of that and even some of daddy's dinner. We are finally getting over that bump in the road that was her issues on food. For breakfast today she ate a pancake ! I see a trend here...lol My little bug is finally catching up with things she was never taught in China. Oh, I think I smell a stinky little girl, Gotta go to change a diaper. peee u!!

As I sit here and write, I think about Meigan and also about a Little girl names Katie. Katie was taken away from her family to early in her life. She was a happy wonderful little girl and I often think That I would go crazy if anything ever happened to Meigan. Katie's parents are the most amazing people I have ever met. They took their grief and turned it into something that can save other lives. They also found love in their hearts for a special little girl they now call daughter. Shay is the luckiest girl in the world to have parents like these. And I am proud to call them friends. Although we don't see each other or talk that often, I am a better person for knowing them.

What to do???

Here I am with an other late night. That little bug of mine took over 1 hour to go to sleep and in the process she figured out how to get her big toe into her mouth. I am really trying hard to get her to bed at a decent hour but she is a wild woman! So once again, mommy can't sleep and she is tapping away at the computer keypad.
Anyone have any tylenol pms...lol Well that's about it for now.

Meigan had a blast yesterday. I am starting to see more changes in how she plays and communicates to us and the people around her. Yesterday was our neighbor's pool party for their 10 yr old daughter and Meigan was the only one from our block invited. At first she didn't want to go into the pool because of all the people in the pool. After about an hour, and when many of the kids got out of the pool, she decided to go in with the help of a young guest that was willing to hold her in the pool. Well after that, Meigan didn't want to get out. When dad or I took her out, she would leed me back to get me to put her back in. She is constantly taking my hand now and leading me around the house to turn on the ceiling fans or to tell me she wants a toy. She is using the sign ( hand movement ) for more now which makes me very happy. Her therapist said today that she is starting to do things she never had a chance to do when she was younger. So I guess she is starting to kind of catch up to where she should be for her age. i only wish she would start to use real words or just say mom. She says dog and dad but that is about all we can understand right now. Sometimes I think she is saying somethings in chines... who knows. When ever I go into another room now she yells for me. before she would look under the door to see me in the room. It is pretty cool that she is getting verbal..... but boy is she loud!

I still worry about her eating and not gaining more weight. When we first got her, it was in November and she only weighed 15 lbs, she is now 19lbs and has grown 2 inches. The feeding clinic in Children's hospital wants to put a feeding tube in her but we and everyone we have spoken to say it's a bad idea. She is a very active 29 month old who eats like a 9 month old. Maybe this is why I don't sleep a lot lately. I always worry that she won't eat for me and that she will get sick.Everyone tells me it will come with time but I can't help being such a worry wort.

Well I have rambled on enough for tonight... oh it is tomorrow already and my peanut will be greeting me in several hours by climbing into our bed after daddy goes to work. So until my next sleepless night
